February 5, 2010 - Memorial service for ASCF founder Ruth Hashimoto. First Unitarian Church 3701 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. 3 P.M.
February 13, 2010 - Luncheon highlighting our Chinese sister cities, and celebrating the Chinese New Year. Sponsored by our Hualien and Lanzhou committees. Time: 12 - 2:30 P.M. at the Manzano Mesa Multigenerational Center (501 Elizabeth SE). There will be costume dances, choral singing, pictoral presentation of the recent Shanghai World Expo, and other highlights. Lunch will be catered. Cost: Members–$8/person. Non-Members–$12. February 17, 2010 - 2010 Sister Cities International Conference planning meeting. Please find out how you can be involved in our upcoming July 29 - 31 conference. We will meet for 1 hour, starting at 5:15 PM, in the conference room on the 14th floor of the Compass Bank building, 505 Marquette NW (corner of 5th and Marquette). Free parking after 5 PM available in the outside parking lot (6th and Roma).

April 10, 2010 - Hana Matsuri or Flower Festival at the Botanical Garden. The Sasebo committee will have a table with a fun activity for all who come. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Many other demonstrations and activites, including those by bonsai master teacher, Jim Barrett, from 11 - 1 P.M. May 16, 2010 - Festival of Asian Cultures at Civic Plaza. Sponsored by the Asian American Association of new Mexico and the City of Albuquerque. Participating Cultural Groups span the cultures of three of our Sister Cities in China, Taiwan, and Japan. Other Asian Cultures will also be represented.
